81. Leaving a Unionized Career and Trusting Your Intuition with Genevieve Boivin

#81: After her second maternity leave, Genevieve went back to her full-time unionized job with a bounce in her step. However, it went downhill from there. She felt unhappy but turned to self-care to find happiness. She tried to exercise more, journal, meditate, sleep better... This went on for about 1 and a half years until self-care almost broke her.

Genevieve Boivin is a previous kinesiologist turned coach based out of Cochrane, Alberta. Her mission is to help people understand what being well means, what it looks like, and what it feels like.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Feeling not enough

  • Working in Kinesiology

  • Playing small

  • Self care and how it didn’t work for her

  • Taking leave of absences

  • Having more flexibility during the work day

  • Meditation

  • Health coaching

  • Trusting your intuition

  • Being self employed
