Getting furloughed or laid off this year is a common theme for many of us. My guest, Sophia Lorena was impacted by this as well. During her 10-week furlough, Sophia created her own podcast and realized that there’s truly no such thing as job security. Between that and being in a car accident all in 6 months, Sophia really saw her life put in perspective and developed a “fuck it” theory where she decided to finally start going after everything she wanted in life and to stop playing small.

Sophia is the host of “The Shit Show of my Twenties” and has interviewed close to 100 people this year so far. She is a twenty year old from California, a personal development junkie, and her day job is as a loan officer.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Starting a podcast

  • The shame of getting furloughed or laid off during the pandemic

  • Being in a car accident

  • Life coaching and NLP

  • Creating a legacy

  • The fuck it theory

  • Unhealthy behaviour patterns and limiting beliefs

  • Binge eating disorder

  • Personal development

  • Creating a great relationship with your mom
