61. Needing To Be Liked, Starting A Social Enterprise, and Investing In Crypto with Erin Malecki

#61: After the lockdown caused Erin Malecki to miss her flight to Dublin, Erin was stopped in her tracks. Instead of being upset, she turned “sour grapes'' into a fruitful wine by launching a social enterprise called Sip Well Do Good.

She coined the term “Socially Responsible Sipping” by collaborating with wineries and local causes. Sip Well Do Good ships boxes of wine directly to your house.  With each purchase, a portion of your proceeds will be donated to a charity.  It's a perfect way to support local businesses, Ontario Agriculture and charitable organizations, while giving to friends and family (or yourself!) this holiday season.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Not getting promotions in your job

  • Camino de Santiago in Spain

  • Trichotillomania

  • Finding yourself and searching for bigger meanings

  • Making big changes in your life

  • Being entrepreneurial

  • Insecurities and wanting people to like you

  • Trying to go with the flow a bit more

  • When the universe gives you signs

  • Launching a social enterprise

  • Supporting small businesses

  • Working with wineries

  • Getting ghosted in business

  • Personal finances

  • Investing in crypto

  • Learning to sail
